A Review
I just finished "A Seeker of Light” by Illustrious and Worshipful Brother C. Winston Douglas, 33°, Inspector General Honorary, who is a living legend in the understanding of Masonic Lore, history, and precepts. Chris has compiled a collection of papers and essays from the Virginia Research Masonic Lodge. He has chosen those essays that will both enlighten and entertain.
Illustrious Chris has served the craft as archivist for Virginia Research Lodge No. 1777, gathering research from members of that group and from his extensive travels throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, collecting information and anecdotes about the history and culture of those who seek the light and love of Freemasonry.
Pick up his book, read it, ponder the concepts, and you will find well-established paths to more light, self-growth, and brotherly love.
I have traveled and learned many lessons along the way, but Chris has gathered gems of truth, love, and charity that will help you on your journey. This book is a "must-read" for every new Mason, and a great primer for every established Mason to help them remember why they carry on with their study of the craft.
Well done, my Illustrious Brother and fellow Sir Knight.
